The earthquake on 13 November 2016 has had minimal impact on the processing of criminal history reports by the Ministry of Justice.
The Ministry of Justice has advised that its office re-opened on Monday 21 November, after being closed between the 14 and 18 November. The criminal record team has confirmed that criminal history reports are currently being processed within the standard 20 working days of receipt.
The New Zealand Mining Board of Examiners reminds holders of certificates of competence (CoC) to submit their request to the Ministry of Justice for their criminal history report as soon as possible to allow time for the processing of your CoC applications by 23 December 2016.
